I've been MIA from this blog for over a year now and I just wanted to apologize. I'm back now and hopefully I'll be able to update things much more regularly. Life has been really hectic for my boys and I. I'm no longer a Marine Corps wife, but that doesn't change my love for our US Military. Opps... I forgot to update this blog letting everyone know that I'm back. The move was successful. Now we just need to worry about cleaning the old house to Lincoln Military Housing standards... =( Fun stuff.

No Internet For A Few Days

Yup, tomorrow is moving day! That means our computer is going to be unplugged and moved to the new house. We'll be without the internet until at least the 1st of April. I'll post here and in my shop when I'm back. During this time you may still order on my site as usual... This only affects custom orders. If you'd like to have one made for you it'll be a while before I can get back to you.

Getting ready to move!

I just wanted to let everyone know that my family and I are getting ready to move in to a new house. I'm letting everyone know because I won't have access to the internet/my computer for about 7 to 9 days at the most. This is going to be from about March 28th to April 7th.

So get those custom requests in before March 28th so I can get them done before I move!

February's Care Package

Today our first care package of the year was mailed out! For February we picked LCpl David Mancini of MALS - 16 to send it to. In his letter to AnyMarine.com he asked for coffee, individual tuna packs, individual Crystal Light, and coffee creamer. I ended up spending WAAAAY more then 10 percent of my profits... I think it ended up being more like 40%. (Including shipping.) I really don't mind though. =)

We'll be choosing a troop for March really soon! If you'd like to submit your troop to us to be sponsored please send an e-mail to taylor@lovingourmilitary.com. Just be sure that the troop will be deployed til at least late April to allow time to get a care package sent out!

Wrap Junkie Tote Bag

Yesterday I recieved the Wrap Junkie Tote Bag that I ordered from my Cafepress shop. I'm pretty impressed! This was the first time I ordered a tote bag and I'm really pleased with the both the quality and the size of them. Plus I happen to think the design on the bag is really cute... (Hey, I can toot my own horn every now and then, can't I?!) So if anyone is interested I took a couple pics of it next to some of my wraps. Oh, I also wanted to mention that it can hold about 4-5 wraps... just in case anyone was wondering. =)

Supporting Our Troops

Well, the holidays are over... For many troops overseas that means no more care packages being sent their way. Even though the holidays are over that doesn't mean that our troops are missing home any less! It doesn't mean that they don't deserve to receive a little bit of home to help cheer them up.
Sooooooooo.......
If you haven't noticed already I'm starting the troop care packages back up! That means that 10% of all my profits are going towards sending at least one care package to a troop overseas per month. I decided that we're finally financially stable enough for me to be able to do this again. So I'm really excited to get started!

I Stand Among The Silent Ranks

I put up a lot of new designs today in the store....

One design I put together today included a poem called, "The Silent Ranks." You can find this design on our throw pillows and magnets.

I also made this custom USMC Ball throw pillow... This is a picture my hubby and I from last years Marine Corps Ball. I hated the professional picture that we had taken there... so I made this to make up for it!

has stolen one of my original designs!! I've alerted Cafepress to this issue and am waiting to hear back from them.
The design this person stole from me is the "Army Wife's Creed". I made that as a custom request for someone about 2 years ago. I'm not sure where this person got my design from, but how DARE she try to make money off of something that took me a long time to make!!!

I'm going to contact a few of the other shops to see if she's stealing other peoples work too....

New Year = New Layout and New Designs!

Hey everyone,
It's Taylor! I'm back and ready for action!! There's some big changes happening here... First comes the name change: Taylor's Military Designs ...and more! We used to be known as "Military Gifts for Military Families" ... I decided to change it because not only am I a proud Marine Corps wife, but I'm also a proud mommy. With that comes some new designs and new sections of the store. I've added a Maternity section and a Babywearing section. So anyway, I've pretty much taken a whole year off from working on my cafepress store. During that year I've watched my son go from a teeny helpless newborn to a semi-independent toddler. He'll be 13 months old on the 23rd of January. He's getting so big!

With him being a lot older now means that while he plays nicely on the floor with his toys.... or takes his 2 hour afternoon nap, mommy can get on here and work! I'm really excited to start designing again!
